The Liturgical Ministry is inviting all Catholics who wish to serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EM)*, Greeters, Ushers, and Lectors to complete the form on this page for additional information.
*Must have all the Sacraments of Initiation to serve as an EM.
Ushers and Greeters are men and women who take up the collections in the church, welcome the faithful at the church doors, seat them appropriately and marshal them in processions. Members of the Holy Name and Parishioners are our Ushers and Greeters. If you are interested in being an Usher and/or Greeter, please email Cheryl James at [email protected].
This ministry studies, prepares, and proclaims the Word of God at Mass. Our lectors are trained to proclaim the Old and New Testament readings at Sunday and Holyday Masses.
The requirements are that you be a baptized, confirmed Catholic in good standing and a registered member of Saint Ann Church. If you have a great love for the Scriptures, you may be called to this ministry.

Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist assist the priest in distributing Holy Communion during Mass or bring Holy Communion to the sick who are homebound.
To become an Extraordinary minister at Saint Ann one should complete training class at the Archdiocesan level (covers theological and liturgical background, as well as practical aspects of the Ministry) and a training with the local coordinator.

A sacristan is a lay person who “diligently arranges the liturgical books, the vestments and vessels that are necessary for the celebration of Mass”. The sacristan is well-trained in the complexities of the liturgical actions, as well as those of special Masses or those of greater solemnity, so as to make appropriate provisions. If you are interested in being a Sacristan, please email the Parish Office at secretary@stannhoboken.com.
Children (beginning in 4th grade) and adults of the parish, assisting as servers to the Celebrant during the Mass and at our monthly Eucharistic Adoration ("At His Feet"). Altar Servers carry the cross, hold the book for the priest, carry the incense and censer, present the bread, wine, and water to the priest during the preparation of the gifts or assist him when he receives the gifts from the people.
